MAP or modified atmosphere packaging is the process of packaging
fresh food by removing the oxygen content inside the package to
improve the food’s shelf life. Traditionally, there are two types
of modified atmosphere packaging.
One process uses a vacuum gas system that extracts all the air from
the package and then adds the desired gas mixture back in. This
system can be cumbersome as it has a variety of moving parts and a
sensitive vacuum that can be difficult to accurately adjust. The
other way is a gas flush process, which has the food package pass
through a large chamber filled with gas and the package is then
sealed while in this chamber. However, the gas flush process uses a
substantial amount of gas and it can be difficult to get a low
oxygen level when that is desired.
This MAP packaging machine is also called nitrogen filling
packaging machine, lock fresh packaging machine, etc., modified
atmosphere packaging machine is to use oxygen, nitrogen, carbon
dioxide and other inert gases to mix and replace the air inside the
box to achieve the purpose of air conditioning.
Using the different functions of various atmospheres, most of the
microorganisms that have been degraded by food have grown and
regenerated, and the respiration rate of foods such as fresh fruits
and vegetables has been reduced,keeping the original tastes and
color, so that the shelf life of food preservation cakes is
extended. this machine is widely used for shops to vacuum or
inflating packaging or sealing of fast food, meat, fruit and
vegetables, fruit jelly, pudding, bean milk, etc.
The equipment consists of two kinds of working
chamber:Thermoforming chamber&Heat sealing chamber.
Vacuumizing&gas-flushing jobs are finished at the same room
inside the heat-sealing chamber.Packing materials are aluminium
foils or a variety of films,transparent or opaque, printed or
unprinted,flexible or rigid. To get a more beautiful of the
package, the cotanier also can be some different shapes,it is
called 'Top Film Thermoforming'.The whole process is under
precisely control of PLC,continuously and automatically. Our
